After winning the YAS Thesis Prize 2016 last November, Bianca receives the SCCL prize 2017 for her Master's Thesis on the relation between award-related court judgments and the EU principle of Mutual Trust.

The award, which includes a 20 000 SEK prize reward, was granted to Bianca by the Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL) for her thesis on the subject of "Judgments Relating to Arbitral Awards and the European Union's Principle of Mutual Trust - a reflection on the enforcement of nullified arbitral awards and the delocalization theory of international arbitration from a European perspective".

In its motivation (in Swedish), the jury highlights the quality of Bianca's drafting, and her thorough analysis of a current problem in the enforcement within the EU of nullified awards: "Med säker hand behandlar Bianca Kremer undanröjda skiljedomars verkställbarhet i ett annat EU-land, i ljuset av den EU-rättsliga principen om ömsesidigt förtroende. Den relevanta texten i New York-konventionen är mångtydig och har fått olika tillämpning i olika länder. Framställningen är klar och pedagogisk och ger sammantaget en välutvecklad analys av ett aktuellt problem”.

This is the second award harvested by Bianca for her thesis after the YAS Award, granted last november.

The ICAL Board wishes once again to extend its sincere congratulations to Bianca for her achievements!
